Bit of microsite research

Annoyingly enough microsites are quite difficult to find unless you're specifically searching for something, well that's what I found anyway in my research process. There were a few of them which I found, they're not crazily interesting but they're alright for a starting point, none of them really link in with the topic of what I want my site to be but I may be able to mimic their ideas.

Some site McDonald's is associated with http://365black.com/365black/
Land rover site for a new range rover model http://www.landrover.com/Microsites/GWS40Microsites/GL/GLLRX.html
Nikon DS3 site http://imaging.nikon.com/lineup/microsite/d3s_d3x/en/

going to keep an eye out for more that will come in handy!

bits and bobs from branding in context

BRANDING IN CONTEXT DESIGN SHEETS AND ILLUSTRATOR EXPERIMENTS

Little Milton Glaser reminder

Must be honest, i'd never heard of Milton Glaser until I was on this course, which is fairly shocking if I intend to be a Graphic Designer! So I was quite proud of myself when my flat mate came in wearing this t-shirt and I was able to point at him and exclaim 'Milton Glaser'! And then had to explain why that was necessary to do, at least there is one thing I have learnt being on this course :)

Editorial folder work

Selection of editorial layout experiments and then some which are more defined with imagery and realistic placement. I intend to base some of my later in design layouts on these smaller layouts.

Buildings that I didn't know existed in Wolverhampton!

On a little tour around Wolverhampton's center, I noticed these style buildings and was surprised because I didn't know anything about the area's history. I like the Victorian Architecture of the city but don't think it is fully appreciated by the people who visit it everyday.
